Iyuzeld Jïpi-kim (/ʤiv/ /kim/ [fresh] [distance; span; gap]) is a subtropical Small Town located in the Ákowror Region of the Confederation of Goblin Tribes.

The name Iyuzeld Jïpi-kim is derived from the Gnollish language, as Iyuzeld Jïpi-kim was founded by Shaihr vyim Glə˞filf, who was culturaly Gnollish.

Climate

Iyuzeld Jïpi-kim has a yearly average temperature of 11°C (51°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a cool 15°C (59°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cold 8°C (46°F). Iyuzeld Jïpi-kim receives an average of 258 cm/y (101 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of snow during the pleasantly short winter months. Iyuzeld Jïpi-kim covers an area of nearly 3 km2 (1 mi2), and an average elevation of 738 m (2421 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Iyuzeld Jïpi-kim was founded durring the late 14th century in fall of the year 1283, by Shaihr vyim Glə˞filf. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for Shaihr vyim Glə˞filf.

Iyuzeld Jïpi-kim was built using the conventions of Gnollish durring the late 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Iyuzeld Jïpi-kim is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature plaster covered brickwork used to form structures with an emphasis on symmetry, proportion, geometry and the regularity of parts. Orderly arrangements of columns, pilasters and lintels, as well as the use of semicircular arches, hemispherical domes, niches and aediculae can be found everywhere such that only size of building and yard can be used to measure the general prosparity of a given building's owners due to a general wealthy feeling the style gives off.

Iyuzeld Jïpi-kim is buildings are arranged arround a single spacious packed earth mainstreet with many smaller streets branching off of it which gives the town a over all rectangular shape, albit one warped and twisted by the nature of the curves of the main road. The town has a fortified albit thin brick wall. The wall has most of the feeatures of a typical castle wall, just on a much smaller scale and and budget. Notably brick isn't a particuarly soild choice for resisting siege weapons. Iyuzeld Jïpi-kim's wall wouldn't hinder a proper army, but it is more than sufishent for bandits and other small marauding groups. Iyuzeld Jïpi-kim's monster and outlaw focused fortifications are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.

A look around Iyuzeld Jïpi-kim gives you an uneasy feeling. Everything is just a little too worn down, a little too dirty, or both. No one makes eye contact. Kids play quietly, but happily. Occasionally a passerby glances at you out of the corner of their eye, staring jsut long enough for it to be uncomfortable. People seem to be allowed to do as they please with little harmoney to anything. It feels less like a town, and more like a spot people just happened to place their homes.

Civic Infrastructure

Iyuzeld Jïpi-kim has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.

Iyuzeld Jïpi-kim has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Iyuzeld Jïpi-kim's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Iyuzeld Jïpi-kim possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the Small Town. Iyuzeld Jïpi-kim's grid is powered by hydrogalvanic generators.

Iyuzeld Jïpi-kim has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Iyuzeld Jïpi-kim has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Iyuzeld Jïpi-kim is home to a distinct subculture, who are either the majority here or have the dominant positions in the community. Architecture, local laws, and social customs are all tuned to suit them, and they may not be particularly forgiving or friendly to the major culture of the region. Communities that are not outright independent usually make an arm's-length submission to a local lord.

Iyuzeld Jïpi-kim's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for the combined use of arcuated and trabeated construction, employing arches and constructed with post and lintel. The arch served as the style's chief structural element, with flanking columns serving as buttresses or decorations. While the general shape of their structures could be generously described as simplistic, the use of these arches and columns created a most distinct ascetic which is easily distinguishable on sight to armatures and experts alike.

Due to the actions of local Kami, summer is short in Iyuzeld Jïpi-kim.

The Jelly, Marsh near Iyuzeld Jïpi-kim are known to be a mutant strain of the creature.

Iyuzeld Jïpi-kim's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in winter and involves consuming a local toxin to channel Enchantment energies of tier 3 via mimery.
